It's great that you're visiting kaffee-atlas.de.

Allow me to briefly introduce myself - My name is Ingo and I am a self-confessed fan of good coffee.

My story

For me, coffee is more than just a beverage – it's a craft, a science, and a pleasure all at once. My passion isn't just for the finished cup of coffee, but above all for the journey: from the bean to the roasting process and the aromas that develop along the way. This interest began when I was just a little boy. I fondly remember watching my grandmother grind fresh coffee beans and later brewing the coffee with a hand filter.

I'm particularly fascinated by coffee roasting. The subtle differences between origin, processing, and roasting profile constantly remind me how multifaceted coffee truly is. Temperature, time, and experience determine whether fruity, chocolatey, or nutty notes unfold. You'll often find me in my small, non-commercial home roastery (Piccolo Fagiolo) when I'm trying something new and then spending hours on it—simply because it's so exciting to see the final result.

With kaffee-atlas.de, I want to share this knowledge. I gather background information, explain connections, and make topics related to coffee more understandable – for the curious, beginners, and anyone who wants to delve deeper. Nothing overdone, just simple. My goal is to make coffee a more conscious experience and to show how much expertise is contained in every single bean.

I'm excited to introduce you to some fantastic roasters and their creations. There's so much to discover and taste here, too. Plus, we have all the necessary equipment – everything you need.

The site is constantly being expanded and filled with new content. The main responsibility lies with me, as I run this essentially in my free time. My primary job is as a paramedic in emergency medical services. I need to take breaks now and then – so please bear with me if the content remains unchanged for a few days.

I hope you enjoy your stay here on the site.

Best regards

Ingo C. Heine
